Baby monitor recommendations please 🙏

Hi all.

I need a monitor for when my baby is here.

I feel a camera/video feature is rather unnecessary but please change my mind if you believe otherwise.

I'm on a bit of a budget but willing to spend more for something brilliant.

No idea where to start!

TIA.

Personally I’d get one with a camera, felt more reassured seeing her! I would wait though as you won’t need it until 6 months plus anyway. Definitely not for a newborn.

The vtech one which is £50 in Argos - so many good reviews and it's great for the price! Video, music, microphone etc

Was going to recommend vetch too! We have one and I can even see her breathing on it, very reassuring. The talk function is also handy.

You shouldn't really need it it'll later as baby needs to sleep and nap in same room as you till at least 6 m to protect from Sids. But we have the hello baby and it's good, v affordable off Amazon or eBay, as all the functions you need.
Get a video as you never know, baby might not like sleeping in the cot, you might do a floor bed or co sleep, and having a video so you can check they haven't got up and roaming around the room is helpful 😂x

We just use an old phone and an app!
Can see her, talk through it, play music etc. It even has a light function and zoom. Cost £1.50 for the app.

I've got the vtech one from Argos for £50 too and it's been fine.
