Unless, of course your talking about shoeing a horse.
The word, when talking about a definite winner, is 'a shoo-in'.
I read two different articles in my newspaper this morning written by two different people, both made the claim that Labour is a 'shoeing' for the next general election.
Does nobody read these things before they're printed?

So annoying !!
What's more annoying to me is the constant:
"it comes off of a tree"
"she came off of the bus"
What is the "of" about ??
It's everywhere now and drives me mad.
