Baby play mat recommendations?

Any recommendations for a baby play mat that is suitable for younger babies (DD currently 5 weeks) but that we will also get some ongoing use from as she gets bigger? Ideally padded enough to be used on a wood floor (not a deal breaker as could put something underneath it). Thanks!

I bought this playmat from Ikea for my baby boy and have used it pretty much every day for the past 6 months. We’ve got wood floors too and it’s definitely padded enough for him. I’ve also put it through the washing machine a fair few times and it’s come out good as new.

We got the same as @spagino21 and it’s been great. It’s a really good size and nicely padded. Plus it’s washed well which is always good for a baby item!
We also bought this: www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/leka-baby-gym-birch-multicolour-70108177/ and used it from when DS was about 3 months. It’s still being played with now and looks like new still so it’s been a great buy.

Very pricy, but the Lovevery playmat has activities designed to grow with them, and converts to a play tent.

If you have the space, then I think a foam play mat would be great for long term use! We had ours in the living room when baby was small, and now it's in the playroom. She still loves to sit on there and do her puzzles or play. The best part for us was that it was super easy to wipe down and clean. We had a fabric one too and had to wash it so much due to spit up Etc and it would take ages to dry.

We have a foam mat from Munchkin & Bear and would highly recommend it! We’ve spent so much time on the floor with our baby since the mat arrived - we’re much comfier! He’s just started to roll on it, but it will be amazing when he can sit etc.
