100% cotton bedding

Where on earth can I buy 100% cotton double bedding? Next and Dunelm are full of horrible polycotton. I bought a polycotton set by accident last year and it was so rustly and plasticky. The sheets slithered off the duvet at every possible opportunity. And it glistened like plastic on the washing line when it was drying...

But everywhere sells it! And advertises it like if it's superior 😂 it's all so expensive too. Asda used to be great for bedding - our local store is huge and doesn't even have one cotton set anymore!

Anyway, anyone know? I don't have a huge budget (well it used to be a good budget for bedding but as everything else, it's shot up!)

I dont even care what colour it is!

John Lewis, TK Maxx, Amazon, M & S.

Try John Lewis or M&S, also Joe Brown's if you like colours and patterns. Sometimes Sainsbury's has it. Pure cotton bedding is more expensive but it's also a nicer product.

M&S’s 100% cotton bedding is good.

Debenhams on line usually have cotton bedding and IKEA bedding is often cotton

I've got some from Primark.

I even managed to get some 100% cotton Spider-Man kids sheets in Asda. They’re not hard to come by.

We have M&S and Soak&Sleep. Both 600 thread Egyptian cotton. I prefer the M&S ones though

Thanks everyone. We don't have a John Lewis or a TK Maxx nearby anymore.

But we have a several huge M&S' around. So I'll have a look in there. Joe Browns sounds interesting!

I definitely want to "touch" it before ordering as I'm now so fussy.

For the last decade we've purchased all bedding from Dunelm but our favourite seta are now almost £50!

I buy linen from just linen as they often do good sale stuff. They have an extra 15% off this weekend so it’ll bring the price down a bit but here’s a standard 200tc cotton, white duvet for £40

I have some from the The White Company. Absolutely horrible to iron.

Even Tesco does 100% cotton bed linen.

I checked our Tesco yesterday and was quite disappointed to be honest. We obviously don't have the same stock as you 😊

I've got some from Primark.

Amazing! I shall go in there today! Thank you 😊

M&S have a beautiful set online for only £36 so I'll check that out too (in store)

I have White Company towels and I have found them pretty awful so I'm not sure about getting bedding from there too. (Especially since I'm newly fussy!)

Seconding primark, not much of the bedding is 100% cotton but the ones I've bought are lovely and have worn well. You'll have to search, most of it is polycotton.

IKEA, but some of it is very cheap and not great quality, I've had really nice sets from there though that wash well and have zips instead of buttons which makes changing the bed so much quicker.
I've also got a nice set from tesco, I think it was their "fox and ivy" brand.

@Ayegoon Lands End have 30% off sale prices today. A double sized sheet and pillow cases set would be £45.50 in 400 thread count organic percale cotton.

I know you can't feel it before you buy but ime they don't quibble about returns.

Be careful with the filter on their website & app. Selecting 'cotton' brings up cotton blends as well as 100% cotton, so you need to actually look at the item. It's very annoying!

Ayegoon · 01/07/2023 09:22

@DisplayPurposesOnly thank you! That's so annoying and I've just noticed that the Dunelm website is doing that too.

The thing with Dunelm is its dreadfully overpriced and my sons 100% cotton bedding was quite poor quality. I'm reluctant to spend so much when I can get better for cheaper elsewhere.

Off to IKEA with a long list of other stuff we didn't know we needed until 10 mins ago 😂

I've just bought two from Dunelm. You can search by pure cotton online. They were not £50!

Following with interest.
How easy is it to care for 100% cotton. Does it require a lot of ironing.

King of cotton is excellent, also secret linen store.
