Im looking at Menorca - Can anyone recommend an excellent AI hotel please?

I went twice to Hotel Cala Galdana, don't know if it has what you're looking for but I loved it.

We went to Insotel Club Punta Prima, which I was impressed with - the food is very good and it is AI.

They also do a 'prestige' range of hotel rooms - personally we weren't bothered about that but you might be...The children loved it there - we actually went twice.

We have been to Hotel Princesa Playa in Cala en Bosch, very nice! Can either stay in the hotel bit or in apartments. Pools were good, had kids clubs and play areas. We went in 2005 and there wasnt an all inclusive option then, but you could go half board, food was good!

Not too far of a walk from the centre which has a harbour and restaurants, bars & shops etc, some of which are in a little square around a bandstand type area with some live music, wooh!

We stayed in the apartments which were fine, but a little on the small side, but didnt really spend a lot of time inside!

Hope this helps, they are in the Cosmos brochure i think.

Karen thanks Princesa has fabulous review on Trip Advisor. All it said was the rooms were very small but there is only us and DS age 4.

At the hotel is there a play park at all and a kids pool?

Also anymore restaurants in hotel?

Hi, we really enjoyed it and would have happily gone back but as there are 5 of us, the apartments are too small! We managed ok in 2005 as our daughters were then 11, 6 and 1. The older ones slept on the sofa bed in the lounge area and youngest was in a cot in the separate bedroom with us.

I think we went on a self catering basis but once there paid to go half board with the hotel directly, which worked out cheaper than going half board through Cosmos.

From what i can remember there were a couple of kids playgrounds and a really nice big section of the pool for kids that was shallow and sectioned off from the main pools. I think there is a separate little kids splash pool now as well.

There was a good pool bar which did really nice pizzas & other snacky things at lunchtime and all the waiters were really friendly, my youngest daughter loved one of them!!

Think there was only the one buffet type restaurant at night but the food was good.

Im struggling this year to find somewhere suitable for us all! We want to get married abroad this year (about time really!) and fancy Greece or Cyprus but not having much luck finding anywhere as yet. Have you got any suggestions?!

electra, we've been three times! But not since I was 32 week preg with DS who is now 4.5.
