Recommend me nice AI resorts with 2-bed family rooms

We recently went on our first ever AI package holiday with a toddler and a baby. Have always done self-catering before, but now we have small kids we realised the main thing we wanted a holiday from was the drudgery of shopping, cooking, tidying up etc., and trying to eat out and do more than one small outing a day with an almost-3-year-old doesn't tend to go well.

Anyway, we aren't tied to school holidays at the moment, so we got a pretty good deal at the Tui Blue Sensatori Akra Sorgun in the Antalya region of Turkey, and it was good! The food was nice, the pools were fine for small kids, it wasn't crowded or too hot (April), and the staff were all lovely. Would happily do it again, and am thinking ahead to autumn or next spring. BUT we mainly picked this resort because you can get a family room with two separate bedrooms, and this seems very hard to search for on holiday sites. And even if lots of resorts (even fancy schmancy ones like IKOS) say they have them, when you look at the room plans most seem to have the kids' bedroom in between the main bedroom/balcony and the entrance door/bathroom. I've done a diagram to show what I mean: our room had an entrance vestibule and then two separate doors into separate rooms which both looked out on the balcony. But even some of the more expensive rooms in our resort seemed to have twin beds in between the entrance and the double bedroom.

So: has anyone been to a nice resort with sensible two-bed family rooms? I'm looking for 4 or 5*, nice food, weather in mid-20s April or Sept/Oct, ideally non-ambitious sightseeing options accessible nearby, max 5 hour flight but really I just want not to have to creep around in the dark to get from my balcony to my toilet.

Thanks @ThinkingAgainAndAgain - but from the images it looks as though you have to go through bedroom 1 to get to bedroom 2, with the bathroom at one end and the balcony at the other. This is what I'm trying to avoid, the sneaking past sleeping toddlers. Otherwise it looks lovely though - hope you have a great holiday!

What about the villa? Bigger than you need and may therefore be too pricey, but the layout would work

These are all on AI resorts (4-5*) at various price points:

Batihan Hotel, Kusadasi - two bedroom private villas

Gloria Serenity Resort, Belek - two bedroom private villas

Barut Goia, Side - two bedroom suites with bedrooms, bathroom and balcony coming off a central living room area

Aquasis Deluxe, Altinkum - two bedroom private villas

Eden Resort, Albufeira - two bedroom apartments and villas with two bathrooms (both bedrooms look to come off a living room)

Royal Son Bou, Menorca - two bedroom apartments with two bathrooms, all of main living room apart from en-suite to main bedroom

MarSenses Paradise Club, Menorca - two bedroom apartments with balcony or terrace off living room

Sentido Aequora Suites, Lanzarote - two bedroom suites with all rooms off living room / corridor

Louis St Elias, Protaras, Cyprus - two bedroom suites with all rooms off living room / corridor

Grecotel Creta Palace, Crete - deluxe or palace family bungalows (not the standard family bungalows)

Porto Carras Meliton, Halkidiki - two bedroom suites

Gennadi Grand Hotel, Rhodes - two bedroom suites

Thanks! Good point re villa @ThinkingAgainAndAgain - though as you say it may end up too expensive (or I may have to accept that what I want is a more expensive holiday!). And wow @cherryassam - thanks, that's loads for me to explore!

@BarnacleBeasley highly recommend Royal Son Bou in Menorca, we were there last week. Genuinely the easiest holiday ever with kids!

Akra Fethiye has this same room layout. We have stayed at the adults only Residence next door and the main hotel is fabulous too 😊

The bungalows at h10 in Lanzarote have 2 bedrooms off a hallway.

IKOS definitely have proper 2 bedroom options. It'll cost you £1,000 a day, so only you know if that's within your budget, but they are fab.

This was a the floor plan for Ikos Andalusia which is nicely laid out and the whole resort is very child friendly. Other Ikos resorts are available!

The swim up 2 bedroom suites at Blue Lagoon Village in Kos are like this. Entrance hall with two separate beds and bathroom off the entrance. Access straight out to the terrace and pool from both bedrooms so no sneaking past them. Loved it there and would go back.

I recently went to Iberostar Club Cala Barca in Mallorca and stayed in a 2 bed apartment. A cheaper option than most of those suggested here and the apartment was pretty dated, but it was clean and comfy and we loved the pools, restaurants and location. I'd definitely go back.

I've been to various places like this in the last few years. Just been to blue lagoon resort in kos which has decent 2 bed family suites. Nissi beach in Cyprus (think it was a Tui blue) had apartments with 2 good bedrooms and a living room, Parque Cristobal is similar... even in some hotels where you have a big family room that is just separated by partition, if you are on the ground floor and can go in and out via the terrace without having to pass a sleeping child I've also found that fine. Swim up at magic life masmavi was like that and really good.

I can highly recommend Aqua Fantasy hotel and spa in Kusadasi, Turkey. It’s a 5 star all inclusive resort with a private beach and access to one of best water parks in Turkey as it’s on site.

there are loads of different room configurations but the first time we went we had a 2 bedroom suite which was stunning and they even had separate balconies. We’ve been 3 times now and are desperate to go again.

The Tui Sensatori in Crete has room layouts like you describe. We've been a few times and there has always been a balcony off the adult room as well. The food and entertainment are great for little ones and there is a nice splashpark to keep them entertained.
