Prague in April with DS age 12

I've been looking at city breaks to go to in April with me, DH and DS age 12 and am now thinking about Prague. It wasn't really on my radar but there are some lovely hotels that are much cheaper than equivalents in other big European cities I was considering.
Has anyone been with teens or pre teens and could advise if they liked it? I don't think my DS will be that impressed with architecture and old buildings so hoping there's other attractions there for him. I will have a good look online but would welcome ideas. Thanks.

Loads to do. The castle is great and Charles Bridge, Old Town Square etc. We are going in April too - my 7th trip I think. For kids - John Lennon Wall is quite cool. www.prague.eu/en/object/places/103/prague-tv-tower-zizkov-television-tower The tv tower. There's a torture museum and ghost walks of an evening.
www.ntm.cz/en The technical museum has Sputniks and even I enjoyed it. Boat trip on the river. The communism museum is interesting. We did a self-guided tour through the Jewish quarter. My dd was older when we took her, but they have paintings etc. done by the children in the Theresienstadt concentration camp which are very moving. Outside of Prague there is a silver mine at Kutna Hora you can visit. Not for the claustrophobic.

Thanks @MissAmbrosia. Loads to think about. Is it colder than the UK in April? Google tells me it's 14 degrees usually but wondered if you had been in April before and could tell me how it feels (I'm asking as I can't bear the cold!)

I've never been in the Spring before but it should be warmer than UK. Terrace weather by the end of April certainly.
