Eurocamp in Italy

Anyone been to any of the Italian Eurocamps? We are having a week with friends in Tuscany next year and want to do a second week somewhere. DH is keen on Eurocamp but I'm not convinced. Be good to get feedback from people who have been?

We've been to Union Lido which was great - lots of pools, activities and different food choices. We didn't step foot off site in a week. Porto Felice has been recommended to me several times, but dd is grown up now and we never squeezed it in. Also look at their own accommodation. Aircon and a deck are musts.

We’ve been to Marina di Venezia which is near Union Lido as mentioned above.

There’s one just above Cannobio on lake Maggiore that we’ve been to a few times. It’s one of my favourites.

And if you want a lido, you can get the ferry to Locarno- there’s a fabulous one there!

We had a lovely holiday at Lake Garda. We stayed at Camping del Garda. Eurocamp have units here but we booked direct cause it’s cheaper. It was by the lake, 15 minutes walk into the lovely town where you can get ferries to the others town round the lake. It was also a 25 minute walk along the lake to Gardaland. We booked the cheap evening tickets and had a really good evening there. It was our last foreign holiday - the summer before covid and we all have really fond memories.

We've stayed at Norcenni in Tuscany, we booked direct with the site and loved it?

I live in Italy and we go all the time! They have all been different levels of good. My two favourites are Bella Italia beside Lake Garda and the other was a great one near Venice called Tra Delle Torre.

Human travel Park Albatross is absolutely beautiful and not far from the beach. Eurocamp can book through them I believe. We traveled to Piza for the day and the kids loved the entire experience.

Oh - we've been to Parc Albatross too. It is massive, but very nice site. I wouldn't go there in August though.

Why not August @missambrosia?

We've been to lots of Eurocamp sites, but not Italy.
We're looking at Bella Italia for later this year, but worried about the temp (August).
We love the freedom of Eurocamp, convenience and knowing exactly what to expect accom wise.

Albatross was excellent in August; amazing pools, huge supermarket on site and so much to do.

Does Albatross have a kids club?

When we went dd went to the Canvas kids club. She loved it and they also ran it in the evening a couple of times a week - choc party / disco etc, which meant quiet adult dinner. Just checked - and it still runs.

Went to Norcenni and Pra Del Torri a few years back and they were both really good.

When I said I wouldn't go in August - it's a massive site - there is a little train that takes you round it's that large - so heat and sheer business would put me off. But then I see others have been there in August and loved it. My daughter loved all the activities there - I have a fond memory of her up at the crack of dawn with her bag packed, and a pyrex dish of cereal, so keen was she to get to the kids club :) The bar area is really nice. They had bands on and you sat under the cypress trees with a large wine and listened to music whilst the kids all played together. I also got a nice pedicure done in the spa area.

We have stayed at both Bella Italia at Lake Garda and Park Albatross in Tuscany. Both big holiday parks with lots of mobile homes from different operators. Would recommend both for different reasons. But obviously Bella Italia isn't in Tuscany!

I'm a teen that was at Parc Albatros in August 2022- it was very fucking boring. The GoApe esque thing was cool but that was it. The pools are really shallow, lots of rude danish kids when i went and they claimed not to know English so could just get away with being dickheads. The restaurant pizza's are really nice and the beach that is a 5 minute walk away is lovely. There is a nudist beach right next to it so watch out😂 I'd definitely say it was a better park for younger kids, also the wifi only worked on Instagram- literally nothing else. Also the staff were unhelpful and inadequate with the taxi information that we needed to get back to Pisa Airport, bus drivers are very rude as well, drove straight past us multiple times. Let me know if you have anymore questions!
