Thinking about booking for Aug 2015. Were you impressed? What did you think of half board, if you did that? Any room recommendations?

Thanks,

I have stayed there twice, once when my son was young and just this year on our own.

It's a beautiful hotel and the staff are fantastic. They have a very good kids club and there were a lot of children. The main pool is heated but the bottom one is not and for adults only. We just did B&B as there are so many good restaurants in Playa Blanca. Breakfasts were good.

sorry posted too soon.

First time we had a Junior Suite which was a great size. This year we had a Sea View Suite and was brilliant. The Family rooms are in another building with its own pool which you access via an underpass that is decorated with fish tanks.

I would go back tomorrowSmile Smile

have to say its not for me, but have a look at the reviews page, you will get plenty of support if its where you think you want to go..

we had a sea view suite and were there this sept. we did half board but def dont as you're walking distance from far better and cheaper restaurants. it wasnt for us but its clearly one of the best in lanzorate, does have a lot for kids and if you're going to go, would prob be one of your best bets.

been several times - great when you have little kids as near beach and has several pools. huge complex with lots of space. kids club, indoor soft play, indoor and outdoor bar areas.

suites are lovely - like mini apartments with small kitchenette. do specify pool facing though.

wouldn't bother with half board - expensive and also all options are buffet (apart from Japanese which is at a premium anyway) - easier to stroll out either to the marina or old town IMO.

Would say it serves a purpose - out of season sunshine, great for children, right on the beach, but for us just seemed a bit soulless, couldn't quite put my finger on it. Having said that, children would go back tomorrow, so bit of a trade-off IMO.
