Anyone been to a sensatori hotel with a 3yo?
Have been looking at Egypt in late sept but AI for the 3 of us in a family room will be £2400, which given its off season seems quite a lot...but I'm not used to booking 5 star for 3!!! Is it worth it?
I want clean contemporary good food naice people and ideally something else locally to look at..
Pref a room with patrician area for ds,
Stuff for ds to do, tho not nec kids clubs
If not here what should I look at?! Thanks

My sister went to the Sensatori in Egypt and said it was lovely although would not go back as the whole family came down with a bad stomach bug which a lot of other families there got too.

We have been to all the Sensatori apart from Mexico and are about to return to Egypt for the fourth time. None of us have had a bad tummy but I do know that the on site doctor has free antibiotics just in case. Also it's spotless with hand gel everywhere.
We have loved all the hotels as perfect for families plus spa etc for adults. Our DD aged 4 really enjoys the kids club and entertainment.

We are going in Oct this year, best time to go is autumn. There are no 'seasons' as such as it's an all year round place.

We went to sensatori in Tenerife last November. Fantastic and as close to 5* as you can get with a toddler. Nursery great, fab spa and the water park at Siam was brilliant.

I've been and it was ok in some ways, room, food, staff. Not sure about the people though, a bit TOWIE and tattoos for my taste, fellow mumsnetters excluded.

We've been to Sensatori Egypt twice.

No upset tummies for us either time. The place is spotless and all of the restaurants have alcohol gel dispensers at the doors, and the staff do ask you to use them if they haven't spotted you using them already. Food is great in all of the restaurants, even the buffet restaurant. My DS particularly grew fond of the 'pancake man' at breakfast who makes fresh pancakes, waffles and omelettes.

The family area with the kiddies pirate ship/mini waterpark is brilliant for little ones - your 3 year old will love it. There's a bar at that pool and at lunch time they do waiter service lunch - Burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, chips and salads - but naice burgers and hot dogs, not crap ones. The waiters will bring drinks over to your sunbeds too and are always walking around handing out bottles of water, crisps and lolly ices.

We didn't use the kids club but it looked great. There's a mini disco that starts about 7.30pm or maybe 8pm for an hour and again, the little ones all seemed to love it.

If you're looking for stuff to do locally though, there's really nothing much outside of the hotel and you're a taxi ride to the resort centre. We walked along the beach to the next hotel and there's a street of shops and bars that separates the two hotels. There's a chemist on that street and a convenience store amongst other things, and they're a lot cheaper than the hotel if you were to need anything. There's a man on the beach trying to sell camel rides (we didn't have one), we took the camel a piece of fruit every day Grin. But we went for a week of total relaxation and good weather, we weren't bothered about going out.

It'll be lovely in late September, just the right temperature.
