Hi I am looking for urgent opinions on the Princess Yaiza in Lanzarote for a xmas break. As it is Xmas of course prices are extortionate so wanted to check it was good before booking. Also how great is the kids club - I have a 5 and 3 year old who generally love this type of thing but some of the reviews of this on trip advisor are decidely dodgey. Looking forward to hearing from anyone that has been. Many thanks

We have been to the yaiza numerous times and a couple of times at xmas/new year . Not sure about childcare for the youngest but your 5 year old would love it , kids club is very well run and the childrens evening entertainment is great.... But what i would say is the pools are cold ,very cold and we couldnt use them in december . The small childrens pool about a foot deep is ok and there is now a childrens jacuzzi its warm but gets absolutely packed ....breakfast is great lots of lovely food but i think everything else is very over priced . the last time we went the service we received was terrible ! bearing in mind this was probably about our 7/8 visit we had room service and they didnt bring plates to eat of , when asked they said they were a pound each !! we had to pay extra for tea and coffee facilities and the rooms are very noisy so get a top floor if you can because the scraping noises from cleaners etc was a nightmare...We have been in the summer and it was better because the pools are beautiful so to be able to use them all in august is lovely but i have to say i wouldnt go back in the winter but i would go back because it is lovely and it is in a great location and we now know it is not perfect ! Hope this helps if you have any questions please ask x

Didn't stay there but a family we know did. They loved it and thought it was worth every penny. We stayed in a gorgeous villa up the road. The beach is literally right at the hotel steps. We parked in the Yaiza carpark to walk the few steps down to the beach! The marina next door has some lovely shops but, more important for me, some lovely restaurants which both adults and children enjoyed.

I'd recommend this place without hesitation in terms of location.
