there is one in a resort called los pocolis called the Seaside Los Jameos Playa
almost identical to the yaiza very lovely inside and out and great rooms but half the price (well almost) we had a look round as we have been to the yaiza several times and are finding it a little expensive now with the euro being so bad ,they were really helpful had great kids facilities ,lovely pools etc hope that helps they do have a website but cant remember what it is at the moment .

We have been going to Canaries for years.TBH we would not esp recommend hotels as the food got in local restaurants is usually betterYou see this culture is so child friendly that you can walk in most places at 9pm with a pushchair and not feel out of place. The San Antonio in Puerto del Carmen is the longest established 4 star with v good facilities. But do not quote me on the food. I mean 2 mins walk from there is fab fish place right on a sandy cove ....This is a year round sunny island so in the winter may attract the sunworshipper rather than families We know good Aparthotel ( no food) I think I would go "All incl" if food a must but not recommended.

Just popped on Lanzarote.com website. They list all the hotels with stuff for families if you enter "children" in the search box. NB There is a newish purpose built area called Costa Teguise boasting loads for families: things may have changed but this resort is out of the way and we found a large no of people unhappy with this .Do not bother with Arrecife too much and no way go there at night -unlike all the other places it is not pleasant after dark

costa teguise souless imo. we stayed at the dream gran castillo AI, lovely family rooms and great pools and we felt it had a better 'feel' than the yaiza. It was significantly cheaper than the yaiza and at the end of the boardwalk in playa blanca. has a kids club/room plus mini disco each night. the food was great - lots of choice and cava on tap even at breakfast! mostly brits but our ds had a great time and met lots of little friends. downside - there is no beach but close to papagayo beaches or 20 min pleasant walk into playa blanca
we also used the 'kikoland' kids club at the Yaiza (open to non- residents for £17 for the whole day but we managed to negotiate half price as spent the morning on the beach there )- childrens pools plus supervised activities for all ages. would definitely return to gran castillo
