Not sure, why not seraphine?

I think it sounds like a medicine

Pretty. I"m assuming from Phillip Pullman. But you know she'll just get called 'Sarah' by her classmates?

It’s very pretty. I had a cousin Seraphina, she was a fabulous woman

It's a stunningly beautiful name.

However, I had boys and it's too long and frilly for me to actually use it. But it's gorgeous.

Love it. Was ln our shortlist for dd3 but she didn't feel like a Seraphina when she was born.

I love it. It's on my list, but I probably would use other names.

Seraphina is a mouthful
I prefer Sabine, Sarah, Sofia, Serena, Phoebe

Seraphina is beautiful and I vastly prefer it to every alternative suggested on this thread so far. The only thing which puts be off is that there isn’t a diminutive I like.

I too thought it sounded medicinal - sorry.

I looked after a little girl called Serephina but everyone (including her parents) called her “Fina”

It's too much for me. I'd feel a bit stupid calling it in a soft play.

Report
freiday · 31/03/2023 08:20

How about Athena? Or Serena?

Very similar sounding but less of a mouthful than Serephina even though it's a beautiful name

Trixiedrum · 31/03/2023 08:23

I agree that it’s a mouthful. Frilly. Not my style but not catastrophic.

I googled Ben Affleck’s daughter - she looks great but about as unlike a Seraphina as you can imagine 😁 It’s a risk if you choose a frilly name, it may not suit at all later on.
