Baby Girl nature names

Hi! First time poster here...

We are due our second baby girl in 6 weeks and still have't decided on a name!

My husband is a tree surgeon and we are very nature/outdoorsy type people. We already have a little girl called Lily and dog called Willow, so we're trying to decide on a name which suits our family. Surname is also Kirkwood.

Here are the names we like:

  • Fern/Fearn - there were lots of wildflowers/foliage at our wedding so thought this might be a nice tie to that. Also like that it's not too common.
  • Robyn - we get lots of birds in our garden and think it flows well with Kirkwood.
  • Summer - we married in Summer/she's due in Summer.
  • Paige - not nature themed, we just like this one.
  • Adeline - again, not in with the theme but one of our daughter's friend's is called Adeline and we think it's very pretty so did't rule it out.

What are people's thought's? We don't want something too common (bit gutted Lily became so popular after we chose it!) but husband is against anything too unusual. Any opinions would be great!

Thank you :)

I like Fern best from your list although if you were spelling it Robin I’d like that best, I just don’t like the Y for some reason. I also think Fern is the most naturey.
The others are pretty too, I am not a fan of Adeline myself because of another word it makes me think of but I won’t say it because I don’t want to spoil it for you!
My favourite girl nature name is Linnet.

I was going to say Rowan (it’s a tree) but it might be too masculine?

I like Summer.

Rose, Daisy, Heather, Violet, Poppy, Daphne, Jasmine.

Google Jamie Oliver’s kids’ names Wink

Bias because I have a Summer- love the name.
The other names I like are: Violet, Amber, Robyn
I personally hate Heather and find it frumpy
I also hate Paige and find it really chavvy sounding.

I think Sorrel is a nice name.

Laurel ?

I love the name lily
if you want to avoid anything too popular I'd avoid Robyn. While the name itself isn't that overused, if you add up all the Robin Robyn Rory Ronnie's etc - there's so many of these type of names all in the the top 100 in classes together, they do merge into one a bit

Echoing PP’s suggestion, Hazel Kirkwood is beautiful.

Fern is nice, I prefer the spelling Fern to Fearne.

I also love River, personally, but I’m aware it’s not popular on here!

I love the name Autumn. Watched a movie recently where the lead character’s name was Rain. I thought it was quite an unusual but lovely name.

Amaryllis?

Perhaps Sage instead of Paige? Nothing wrong with Paige, but Sage has a clear nature link.

Someone already mentioned it above, but I really like Briony/Bryony as a not-too-common nature name.

Loving all the suggestions, thank you!

Our daughter's primary school (where DD2 will also go) is called Hazlewood, so as much as I love the name Hazel Kirkwood , she might get a bit of stick at school.

Looks like Fern & Summer could be top runners. Was worried Summer might have been a bit chavvy but then again, after DD1 was born we heard a few chavvy Lily's!

I'd say Summer is very 'chavvy'

Fern is lovely.

Fern is gorgeous. Robin is quite nice, but not with a 'y'. Rowan is lovely for a girl. Have you thought of Sylvia / Sylvie? It means 'from the forest', I think. Erica is also lovely, means heather. Ffion is pretty - Welsh for foxglove, or Seren, Welsh for star.
