After some naice bedding

To set the bar, I normally buy dunelm.

I'm in a shit job and bed is currently a sanctuary. I want to enjoy it! I don't have a fortune to spend, but prepared to pay more than a typical dunelm set. I've been looking into Egyptian cotton sheets but don't know where to start.

Must be available in superking size. Colour is not important as we are redecorating soon.... does anyone have any recommendations?

Best thing we ever bought was a Sheridan set for our master bedroom. Goes on sale a lot at 50% reductions. Pricey but when you consider we use it all the time - wash it all weekly and it’s straight back on the bed…

7/8 years on, looks as good as new, feels like a plush hotel bedding. Value for money wise, can’t be beat.

I was always a fan of egyption cotton sheets - but that was before I found linen!

It is amazing to sleep in, it gets softer over time and it's like butter. I am saving up to get another set, this on was just M&S but I'll splash out next time on Amurelle.

Try soak and sleep for Egyptian cotton or bamboo sheets with Panda London.

Linen sheets all the way! A bit pricey as we have a super king, but worth it. I usually get high thread Egyptian cotton, but this is so much better. Regulates the heat and so comfortable.

i swear by Ikea - lyocell/cotton mix. Super smooth and gets softer with time. in fact i can't sleep on anything else now. i tried to splash out on Kelly Hoppen and it was awful - it was so itchy and literally took it straight off the bed & didn't even attempt to sleep in it.

Doesn't linen crease badly?

You anywhere near a Boundary Outlet? Fantastic selection of good brands like Christy.

But that’s the point of it surely?! It looks lovely and soft on our bed, you’re not supposed to iron it!

Waitrose (and presumably John Lewis) has some nice seersucker bedding in store at the moment. The double set was £30. They have white, pale blue or a sort of pink/plaster colour. It's lovely and soft.

(We recently bought some Egyptian cotton bedding and it's horrible and strangely cold - and was £150!)

I really love Wilko's bedding. The feel of the sheets, the thickness, and the washability are just perfect.

TK Maxx for hotel style bedding with high thread count - go 400+

Although I'm loving brushed cotton for winter - so much warmer!

For SK get ullvide bamboo/cotton mix fitted sheet from IKEA (online & delivery isn't outrageous), then look on redoute (sale only) for duvet cover & pillow slips, tk maxx are good, even better if you have homesense for more choice. If you make your self aware of the best brands and do filter searches for size, material etc youll et some new with tags from outlet sellers on ebay.

I have these in SK and they are lovely. They do a really deep fitted sheet too which is the only one I've found that is deep enough for our mattress.
