Amazon have a Tower one on a one day deal. Are they worth it or just one more thing that's going to sit on top of the fridge covered in dust and glaring at me?

It is just one basket to wash and that is dishwasher safe.

Funny enough I bought one a while back and hadn't used it until tonight. We tried chips, just chopped up potatoes with skin on. Was really impressed... interesting to hear what other people use it for....

We use ours loads. So handy for oven food (much quicker than heating and using the whole oven). Mainly used for baby potatoes and baked potatoes done in the microwave first for 10 mins then put into air fryer to crisp.

We even take it with us in the caravan

Mine is a phillips rapid. Use it every day. Great for frozen bits for kids

I have a Tefal ActiFry but my chips always burn. I've decreased the time as well. What am I doing wrong?

I bought an air fryer because of this thread!
I've only cooked one meal in it so far but I'm pleased to report that it is worth it just for the chips 😋
I got the Tefal Actifry 2 in 1 - it's pricey but I'm paying in installments.
I plan to do homemade fish fingers next (with chips!)
ladykuga are you rinsing then drying your chips before cooking?

@Pyjamasarethenewblack I dried but didn't rinseConfused. Will attempt again and rinse thoroughly. I have a contraption that chips the potato in one fell swoop and then I just dried them on a paper towel. I just want golden chips. I have a tefal actifry - how long do you do them for?

I weighed mine and followed the timings in the instructions. I think it was 40 mins for 1000g.
The other thing was for the last 10 mins I put the top tray in with other food. I wonder if that made a difference because I know what you mean. I worried mine would burn as they got brown so quickly.

I also used 3/4 of the measuring spoon for oil.

@Pyjamasarethenewblack thanks I will try that with the oil. I have the one with the rotating paddle. Yours sounds very posh expensive Grin
