How to choose the best bedding set
Choosing the best bedding set for you depends on a variety of factors. Natural fibres are good for temperature regulation, whilst polycotton is easy to iron. Aim for between 200-400 thread count for the best combination of softness and breathability.
What’s the best material for bedding?
There’s a common held belief that Egyptian cotton bedding is the best money can buy. However, it really depends on your needs. It’s true that Egyptian cotton is extremely soft and breathable. However, past a thread count of 400, your bedding will likely be thick and not any softer.
Other natural fabrics that work well for bed sheets and duvet covers include bamboo and linen, which are both great for temperature control. Polycotton may be less glamorous (and contains polyester), but its benefits are that it is much cheaper, and it is also easy to iron and care for.
How often should you wash bedding?
You should ideally wash your bedding once a week to keep your bed hygienic and fresh.
