Our verdict

If you’re drying washing indoors, having a dehumidifier in the room will prevent moisture from your clothes settling on the walls and making the room damp. This nifty little machine from CONOPU is an effective dehumidifier for small spaces, priced at the lower end of the market.

With three modes and a timer function, it gets the job done with minimal fuss - and at just 2p per hour, it makes a difference to your home without impacting too much on your bills.

How does the CONOPU 2300ml Dehumidifier work?

Like most dehumidifiers, this CONOPU model works by drawing air from the room onto a refrigerated coil. Moisture collects here due to the cold temperature, and is trapped inside the dehumidifier tank, removing it from the atmosphere.

The CONOPU 2300ml Dehumidifier has a control panel where you can switch between its three modes - strong, sleep and auto. There’s also a timer, allowing you to set the dehumidifier to switch on and off according to your needs.

Water collects in a tank at the base of the dehumidifier, making it easy to see how effectively it’s working - and when it’s nearly time to empty the tank. The machine will automatically shut off and flash red when it reaches full water capacity.

How easy is the CONOPU 2300ml Dehumidifier to set up?

The dehumidifier is very straightforward to use and just needs to be plugged in. It makes a noise every time you switch functions, which is a bit annoying, but other than that we had no complaints.

What’s the CONOPU 2300ml Dehumidifier like to use day-to-day?

The dehumidifier does its job in a small room, but we thought the noise could be quieter. We didn’t find it as effective in a larger room, and wouldn’t want to sleep with it on as it’s slightly noisy.

We liked the simple controls and the easy-to-read display, which gave us peace of mind that the dehumidifier was working and making a difference to the moisture levels in the room.

“One great feature is the display showing the percentages of humidity in the room and how it changes after you have used the device for a few hours.”

For helping laundry dry more quickly and without causing damp, it’s a great little gadget to have around the house.

Does the CONOPU 2300ml Dehumidifier offer good value for money?

With the humidity sensor display and visible water tank, it’s easy to keep track of how much water the CONOPU Dehumidifier is collecting.

“After a day on you can already see that some humidity has been collected in the tank.”

At £66 and 2p per hour, it’s on the cheaper end in terms of RRP and running costs, so it’s a good choice if you’re on a budget and want or need to have a dehumidifier running all or most of the time.

Overall, it’s an efficient dehumidifier but we think if you’re able to spend a bit more you can find more powerful, quieter devices.
