Xbox Series X Black Friday deal

Got a gamer to buy for this Christmas? Make their day (and yours) by swooping in on a brilliant deal on the Xbox Series X and pick one up for just £359, saving you a massive £121 on the RRP.

The Xbox Series X typically sells for around £445 but the price has plummeted to £359 for Black Friday so it's well worth taking advantage of a substantial saving in the run up to Christmas.

Yes, it's still a huge price to pay, but it's the fastest, most powerful Xbox ever made and Microsoft's mighty machine is rarely on sale. If you've got a (very expensive) Christmas list to work your way through, we'd recommend adding this to your basket right now.

Update: Delivery of the standard console will likely take 1-2 months at Amazon which isn't ideal for Christmas! However, if you choose the Diablo bundle deal, you can take advantage of Prime next-day delivery. Or for the console-only deal, use Microsoft's Express Delivery or the click-and-collect service at Currys.

It is compatible with almost everything from previous generations, so if you have a disc drive you can pick up old Xbox 360 games on disc for pence.

We got our son the x. We liked the idea of being able to get physical games and the option of trading them in when he has finished with them.

Our verdict

The fastest and most-powerful Xbox ever made, it's hard to fault the Xbox Series X. Perfect for impatient gamers, it's super quick to load thanks to custom SSD and integrated software and the quick-resume tech means it's easy to switch between different titles. The true-to-life 4K and 3D spatial sound bring games to life and thanks to its disc drive, you can play thousands of titles from the past four generations of Xbox (and pick up some great second-hand bargain games). AND it serves as a DVD/Blue Ray player so you can play movies on it in Ultra HD.

When is Black Friday 2023?

Black Friday 2023 officially launches on 24 November, but lots of top brands have announced early sales and savings including John Lewis, Amazon, Oodie, Ninja and Shark. It's well worth keeping an eye out for bargains throughout the whole month as it's likely more retailers will cut prices on popular products before the main event. The MNHQ deal hunters will be beavering away to source savings on products that we know Mumsnetters love and recommend.
