You don't need weeks and weeks of vacation time or even an airplane to travel this summer — and that's still true for those of you who are dreaming of incredible waterfront views. They don't quite strap you to the outside of the plane, but you can't bring a carry-on bag.

There's nothing better than a Montreal summer. But with scorching temperatures and new festivals cropping up every weekend, we wouldn't blame you for dreaming of escaping the city every once in a while — whether to embark on a road trip or take a dip in the ocean.

Actually, now that we mention it, exchanging traffic and construction for beautiful beaches — complete with white sand and turquoise waters — sounds like a pretty good idea, albeit an expensive one.

You're on a road trip in Quebec and the next exit advertises "Saint-Louis-du-Ha! Ha!" which sounds like it's either the funniest place in the province or part of the Joker's origin story. While you should definitely pull over to snap a pic with the excessively exclamatory road sign, you should also know the story behind the name.

And it's not the only quirky Quebec locale on the map. A quick look at Google Maps shows many other towns with mystifying monikers, here are a few standouts (along with the reasons behind them):
