Reigning UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira is working at his local hobby shop in a new commercial from Topps, which is promoting a trading card buyback event. Topps and participating hobby shops will buy back 2024 Topps Chrome Alex Pereira cards and offer store credit in exchange for “Poatan.”
Here’s how it works:
- Buy 2024 Topps Chrome UFC and collect Alex Pereira cards.
- Bring those Alex Pereira cards to your local participating hobby shop
- Exchange the cards for store credit
Topps has a list of participating partners at its website here. If you don’t live near a participating hobby shop, Topps has partnered with three retailers to service mail-in UFC Main Event buyback cards.
Pereira, 36, is expected to defend his 205-pound title at some point later this year, with former champion Jiri Prochazka and top contender Magomed Ankalaev both in the running for the next light heavyweight title shot.
