This Morning enthusiasts have breathed a sigh of relief, saying "at last" as the show's chiefs confirmed a fresh face will be joining the programme on Thursday. Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard were once again steering the ship on ITV's flagship morning show, engaging with guests and hashing out the latest news and hot topics.

Following the broadcast of the most recent episode of This Morning, the team behind the scenes took to social media to drop an update for fans who might've missed the live broadcast. They posted a clip where Cat and Ben are seen introducing a novel addition to the show, signalling the end of an era for a well-loved feature.

In the footage, Ben announces: "Now then we've some exciting news to share with you. From next week, get ready to play a brand new competition that's landing right here in the This Morning studio". Cat chimes in with: "Take a look at what the board looks like now".

The audience was then treated to a glimpse of the spanking new "Coin Drop" game board, where participants could bag themselves a whopping £20,000. Ben highlighted that this hefty sum could be someone's every single day, reports the Liverpool Echo.

The response to the teaser on X, previously known as Twitter, was mixed, with Michelle commenting: "At last, something to replace Spin to Win". Meanwhile, Angie expressed her nostalgia: "Ah no I liked spin-to-win. Not that I ever entered [cry-laughing emoji]".

Before this change, This Morning had the Spin to Win contest, which allowed a fortunate caller to snag whatever prize the wheel stopped on, provided they delivered the correct passphrase upon being rung up by the presenters.
