Charlie Dimmock's show on the BBC, Garden Rescue, has a guest who revealed one condition needed to get on the programme. Ever wondered what it takes to have your garden flipped by the talented presenting team of Charlie Dimmock, Flo Headlam, Chris Hull and Lee Burkhill?

Well, a former participant has spilled the beans. On each episode, these professional green thumbs do wonders with gardens all over Britain, but here's something their fans might not know about the behind-the-scenes process. The ex-participant took to TikTok to enlighten us about the process.

They said: "You have to show proof of at least £3000 to spare on the garden transformation because it comes out of your pocket." Although it's quite an investment, people would be getting a design and execution from industry pros, reports the Express. Hilariously enough, despite her knack for turning any old patch into a horticultural haven on TV, Charlie doesn't seem to do the same for herself.

In a chat with Express.co.uk, she called her own garden a 'disaster area'. She admitted: "Firstly I have to say my garden isn't always in tip-top condition! Unfortunately, I tend to be away working at the more critical busy times (spring and summer) so I often get behind."

The 57-year-old revealed it's best to keep on top of garden maintenance frequently to make it easier. Charlie continued: "I'm going to try and make my garden look good because I've been doing this so long, it looks like a disaster area!" Charlie first rose to fame back in 1997 when she fronted the BBC show Ground Force alongside the likes of Alan Titchmarsh and Tommy Walsh.

Since then, the star has remained a staple in TV and has fronted Garden Rescue since 2016. Initially, she hosted the show alongside brothers Harry and David Rich and Arit Anderson, although the trio decided to leave three years ago. At the time, a statement from BBC said: "Arit Anderson and the Rich brothers have decided to leave the programme after this year, however, they will continue to feature in the latest series starting this month."

Since then, Lee Burkhill, Flo Headlam, and Chris Hull joined the gardening show for its fifth series. Fans of the programme welcomed their addition as the trio has continued to remain part of the cast.
