Brits on a budget abroad have been flocking to a Wetherspoon’s dupe where pints and English breakfasts cost under £3.

UK tourists on Thailand holidays can head to 'Witherspoons', a quirky copy of the popular pub chain complete with the cheap booze, patterned carpets and all-day breakfasts.

It's ideal for those who want to save their cash to go exploring, as you can get a pint for just £2.13, while the brekkie will set you back £2.78 at the bar in Pattaya City, reports What’sTheJam. The breakfast is decent too, as it includes two eggs, a sausage, bacon, toast, tomato and baked beans.

Other perks include plenty of screens so you don't need to miss out on your favourite sports, as well as pool tables and dartboards.

Witherspoons has become a hit with tourists and boasts a 4.2 rating out of 5 on Google Reviews. One holidaymaker named Kelly Clarkson said of her trip: "I'm not into bars and drinking but had to try it. I watched a YouTube video about it so I tried it out. I'm a solo traveller and a woman, I had to ask a waitress to assist me.

"They definitely focus on the men, nothing wrong with that, however there are other people who should be recognised. The food was divine. The crowd is the usual farangs [Caucasian visitors] and their long time/short time girls. Value for money. A good time out though. There are pool tables and good music."

A local guide stated: "Excellent sport's bar with good staff and manager, also the food specials are very good, breakfast I recommend breakfast of champions and fish and chips Fridays specials."

Greg R added: "A good place to hang out, people watch, watch sports, play pool and have some decent food. The food is good. Portions can be a little small but the price is reflective. The service is good."

Then of course Pattaya itself has plenty to offer for those after sun, sea and sand. A former quiet fishing village, nowadays it's a tourist hotspot thanks to the 24-hour clubs and bars that line its streets, not to mention the gorgeous soft sand beach where you can soak up the sunshine or take a paddle in the turquoise waters.

Of course while Thailand is famed for its epic parties, cheap resorts and nightlife, it's not exactly a short-haul option for Brits. If you're after something a little closer to home then you may want to head to Hungary, where you'll find Europe's cheapest city for pints.

The city of Debrecen may not be a 'classic' holiday hotspot but you can bag a beer for just 89p - a full 6.6 times cheaper than the average price of a pint in London. Debrecen also boasts an underrated nightlife as it's a student town, but for those who want to do some exploring on their trip you can also visit the likes of the Reformatus Nagytemplom cathedral, as well as a museum of Hungarian culture, and a theme park.
