A brawl broke out at Royal Ascot that left one racegoer covered in blood.

The fight occurred on Friday (June 21) as attendees were left watching the horrific scene where two men wearing suits wrestled each other on the ground in an area close to the royal box as several other racegoers attempted to break it up.

One man participating in the fight had to be pulled back by witnesses but still managed to kick the second man who was on the floor and later seen to have a bloody nose when he was eventually led away from the brawl.

Members of the gobsmacked crowd could be heard shouting "easy, easy" in footage of the fight that was posted on social media with a clip of the brawl being seen almost 600,000 times on X.

The bloody brawl - with the cause of it currently unknown - may have marred the experience of the Royal Ascot which possesses a legendary status in horse racing with thousands of revellers making the trip to the famous Berkshire racecourse over the past five days for the glamorous event.

King Charles and Queen Camilla were in attendance at the event on Friday as they watched the action from inside the royal enclosure. Both Royal Ascot and Thames Valley Police have been contacted for comment in response.
