Goodbye, Premier League season and hello, summer transfer window.

With the 2023-24 campaign wrapped up, most teams from the top flight can turn their attention to making new signings and splashing the cash. One club set to do so is Arsenal, who've been linked with signing a new striker in the form of Alexander Isak, although Benjamin Sesko and Brian Brobbey are two alternatives to the Newcastle talisman.

Manchester United could also be in the market for a forward, as Crystal Palace's Michael Olise continues to be linked with a big-money move to Old Trafford. United will have to offload players if they want to spend big, though, with Bruno Fernandes' future up in the air amid interest from Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Al-Nassr.

There's plenty of uncertainty, too, over Liverpool, with new manager Arne Slot now officially appointed and making plans for his squad. Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino wishes he had the same job security, as it's been suggested that his future remains undecided.

Stay tuned throughout Monday as we bring you the latest transfer news from around Europe.

Everton identify Branthwaite replacement

Everton know they could lose Jarrad Branthwaite this summer with a host of leading club seeking to land his services.

As a result the Toffees are making plans for life without their centre-half and Tottenham's Davinson Sanchez is being eyed as a replacement, according to reports.

Arsenal target speaks out

Brian Brobbey has named Arsenal when discussing his future with the Ajax forward now among the forward targets on the Gunners shortlist.

He said: “Arsenal, I think that is a very nice club. If you look at that stadium. A very nice club, but that also applies to Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid.”

However, he added: “I have a contract [with Ajax] until 2027. At the moment I am just with Ajax.”

Ange wants three Tottenham signings

Ange Postecoglou wants Tottenham to land at least three new signings in the summer transfer window, as per ESPN.

The Australian manager is realistic about how much change he can achieve in one window but Tottenham have some breathing within the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules, which have shown to have punishments.

Postecoglou is hoping to have a new striker and a central midfielder among the potential new faces.

Poch replacements identified

Mauricio Pochettino's future at Chelsea is by no means secure and Ruben Amorim and Kieran McKenna are seen as possible replacements, reports the Evening Standard.

The club's owners have kept tabs on managers they rate and are thought to have sounded out the representatives of the Sporting Lisbon boss as well as and Ipswich's manager, who has just led the Tractor Boys to the Premier League and is also on Brighton's radar.

Midfielder on Arsenal radar

The Evening Standard reports that Arsenal are keen to add a new midfielder to play alongside Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard.

Bruno Guimaraes, Amadou Onana and Martin Zubimendi are among the players who have been watched this season with the latter, who plays at Real Sociedad, having a release clause that can be triggered this summer.

Liverpool confirm Slot's arrival

Some movement in the dugouts - Liverpool have confirmed Arne Slot will replace Jurgen Klopp.

The Dutchman will start his role on June 1 after the Reds agreed a compensation package - in the region of £9.4million - with Feyenoord last month.

Slot, 45, is understood to have agreed a three-year deal which ties him to Anfield until June 2027. He already confirmed himself that he was to be the new Liverpool head coach last week during his final media activities as Feyenoord boss, declaring on Friday: "I can confirm that I will become the trainer there next season."

What do Man City need to stay on top?

Honestly, not a lot. Their depth has often been hailed and all their players look as hungry as ever.

Pep Guardiola will most likely want to keep his top stars - and those who play back-up.

Stefan Ortega has been influential when called upon but may have suitors this summer. Julian Alvarez, effectively Erling Haaland's understudy, may be on the radar of top teams. Bernardo Silva has also been linked with a departure in the past.

City though will want to stay ahead of the curve and a major deal won't be beyond them.

Barkley closing on Villa move

How can Arsenal get the jump they need?

Mikel Arteta has enjoyed having a settled squad, but a prolific striker is the obvious hole in their team.

Gabriel Jesus gives you a lot, but he's no guarantee of goals. So much so that he's been overlooked for Kai Haverzt as a false 9.

A marksman is likely to be on their radar whilst they need to consider what would happen if Martin Odegaard got injured. There is a lack of cover.

Man City dealt without the league's best player in Kevin De Bruyne for half a season - Arsenal don't look like they could do without their playmaker.

Man City, Newcastle eyeing Neto

Wolves star Neto is on the radars of both Manchester City and Newcastle this summer, reports the Telegraph.

The Molineux outfit though will demand they receive £60m before they consider letting the winger go.

Last summer City paid £50m to take Nunes away from Wolves and could swoop for another one of their players.

Van Dijk issues contract update

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has insisted that is ‘nothing on the table’ yet as he enters the final year of his contract.

The Dutchman will be a free agent next summer unless he and the Reds agree terms.

Brobbey on Arsenal's radar

Ajax striker Brian Brobbey is a summer transfer target for Arsenal.

The 22-year-old has been targeted by Manchester United in the past but turned down the opportunity to link up with Erik ten Hag again in the Premier League.

However, Arsenal could attempt to prise him away from Ajax if they are unable to strike a deal for Alexander Isak, according to The Independent.

Zidane to snub Bayern

Just taking a break from transfers for a minute, Bayern Munich are still looking for Thomas Tuchel's long-term successor.

That man will NOT be Zinedine Zidane. According to reports in Germany, the former Real Madrid boss is not interested in a summer move to the Allianz Arena.

Tuchel is set to leave at the end of the season.

De Zerbi wants managerial return next season

Unlike Jurgen Klopp, Roberto De Zerbi does not look likely to take a break from football.

The Italian is leaving Brighton this summer, with AC Milan and Bayern Munich among the clubs linked.

“I hope to work in the Premier League again. I don’t know when, I don’t know where," he said after Brighton's defeat to Manchester United. "For me it was an honour working in the Premier League. The stadiums are incredible, the atmosphere is unique.

“Without football is difficult for me, I will smoke more cigarettes, I hope to find a solution before the (next) season starts, otherwise I will study other coaches, watch 100 games per week more or less.”

Rosenior in Brighton frame

Liam Rosenior is a contender to become Brighton's next head coach, report The Sun.

The Seagulls are looking for a new boss after agreeing to part ways with Roberto De Zerbi last week.

Rosenior is unattached after being brutally sacked by Hull City earlier this month - but the former Brighton defender could end up making a swift return to the dugout.

Man Utd told to move for Olise *and* Eze

Former Manchester United striker Michael Owen has said he agrees with Dwight Yorke that United should pull out the stops in an effort to land Crystal Palace pair Michael Olise and Ebere Eze.

"I think Olise and Eze would be good signings for Man Utd, I like them, their record with and without them is a contrast for Palace. I see that," Owen told BoyleSports.

"Yorke was a proper player himself, he knows what he's talking about and I think they will be on the radar of a lot of top teams."

Nuno expects interest in Forest stars

Nottingham Forest could find themselves fending off interest for their star men this summer, with manager Nuno Espirito Santo anticipating bids for the likes of Murillo and Morgan Gibbs-White.

“You never know in football,” the manager said, per Sky Sports. “You have to realise with the way we finished the season some players in our squad are going to attract interest for sure.

“They are very talented, young, in a moment of their careers, you cannot control these things. You have to see what is happening.”

Howe sends message to in-demand Newcastle pair

Eddie Howe has delivered a pointed message to Bruno Guimaraes and Alexander Isak as the pair continue to be linked with a move away from Newcastle.

“They are suited to how we play," the manager said. "They are two outstanding players.

"They can, and have, made a difference in numerous games for us but it is always about the team for me, how it functions and how they give a platform for those two to play.

“Their involvement in the goals at Brentford was top class. But you can’t forget their team-mates. A team effort sticking together through good and bad times.”

Spurs expected to release Sessegnon

Tottenham will allow Ryan Sessegnon to leave the club as a free agent, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Left-back Sessegnon is under contract until 2025, but is expected to be allowed to leave after an injury-hit spell in North London.

The 24-year-old made just one appearance for Spurs' first-team this season, in the FA Cup third round victory over Burnley, and last featured in the Premier League in February 2023.

He is said to favour a move to another Premier League club, though there is interest from overseas in a player who spent the 2020-21 season on loan in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim.

Sporting want €80m for Premier League-linked Goncalves

Pedro Goncalves won't be available for less than his €80m (£68.5m) Sporting CP release clause, according to Jornal de Noticias (via Sport Witness).

The versatile Portugal international has been linked with Aston Villa and West Ham after hitting double-figures in Sporting's title-winning campaign under Ruben Amorim.

Goncalves spent time with Wolves earlier in his career, but left Molineux without making a first-team appearance.

Man Utd and Premier League rivals in hunt for French starlet Locko

Young French defender Bradley Locko is on the radar of Manchester United, Nottingham Forest and Fulham.

That's according to Jeunes Footeux (via Sport Witness), who suggest the left-back would command a fee of around €20m (£17m).

Locko isn't the only left-back in United's sights after injury-hit campaigns for Tyrell Malacia and Luke Shaw, with Wolves man Rayan Ait-Nouri also attracting attention.

Walker admits he was close to leaving Man City

Manchester City defender Kyle Walker has lifted the lid on how near he was to leaving the club for Bayern Munich.

"It was close," the England international said, per Sky Sports.

"I have said it publicly through different circumstances that it was close to happening but with this group of lads, the manager...when we had a talk and a sit down I didn't want the journey to end.

"And I have been a part of this club and foundation now since 2017. From the moment I walked in to standing here now on this day, I relish going into training and that is the main thing."

Palace boss Glasner hopeful on star trio

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner is optimistic about Michael Olise, Ebere Eze and Jean-Philippe Mateta staying at Selhurst Park.

“I am very confident they’ll be here because they have contracts and no one has told me they’ll be leaving," the manager said.

"I think what we have done is that we have shown them that Crystal Palace have ambition."

Liverpool linked with Leverkusen's Kossounou

Liverpool are poised for talks with Bayer Leverkusen over centre-back Odilon Kossounou, according to Caught Offside.

The Ivorian international, who won the Africa Cup of Nations with his country earlier in the year, is valued at around £51m.

Kossounou, 23, scored once in 22 league appearances as Leverkusen went the entire season unbeaten, and came off the bench in both legs of the Europa League semi-final against Roma.

Man Utd to rival Bayern Munich for centre-back

Red Bull Salzburg defender Oumar Solet could find himself the subject of a bidding war between Manchester United and Bayern Munich, according to 90min.

The French centre-back, 24, is about to enter the final 12 months of his deal in Austria.

Bayern, as well as a number of other Bundesliga sides, are reported to have sent scouts to watch the Salzburg star this season.

United's apparent interest comes just days after the club confirmed Raphael Varane will leave the club at the end of this season.

Leipzig 'could remove Sesko clause'

Benjamin Sesko has been linked with a summer Premier League move, but efforts are being made by RB Leipzig to make that as difficult as possible.

According to Sky Sport in Germany (via Goal), the club are in talks with Sesko's representatives to remove a release clause from the Slovenian's contract.

Arsenal and Manchester United have both been linked with the young striker, whose current clause is understood to sit at around £55m.

Arsenal keen on Turkish defender Kadioglu

Links between Arsenal and Ferdi Kadioglu have resurfaced after a January move failed to materialise.

The Fenerbahce full-back, 24, has played a big part this season as his club have lost just once in 37 Super Lig games.

According to Takvim, Borussia Dortmund , Inter Milan and Atalanta are also monitoring the £17.1m-valued defender but he is said to be 'keen' on joining the Gunners.

Dortmund star Reus eyed for MLS move

Major League Soccer side Charlotte FC are eyeing up a move for Marco Reus, according to The Athletic.

Germany international Reus, 34, will leave Borussia Dortmund this summer and be available on a free.

Charlotte, who are managed by former Aston Villa boss Dean Smith, broke their club record earlier this season to sign Israel international Liel Abada from Celtic.

What David Raya has said about permanent Arsenal move

David Raya is expected to join Arsenal permanently over the summer after his loan from Brentford, but confirmed during the week that there is no agreement in place.

The Spaniard was pictured modelling the Gunners' new goalkeeper kit, suggesting he'll be around next term, but nothing is official.

"No, no. I am just focussed on the present. I don't want to think too much about the future," he said ahead of Sunday's victory over Everton (via The Express).

"It's not up to me now. I have to think about the game on Sunday. Then we break for summer.

"It's not up to me to sign. It's up to the club and Mikel [Arteta]. If my performances have been good enough, hopefully, they will offer me a contract.

"Of course, I would love to be here next season and, if that's the case, it will be amazing - a dream come true. I don't want to it stop here. I want more. I want to win trophies with Arsenal."
