Football fans will be blocked from bringing fruit into stadiums at the Euros with the host country determined to boost sausage sales.
And any supporter caught attempting to smuggle in apples or oranges risks being banned from the rest of the tournament, according to guidance from UEFA.
Standard prohibited items - including flares and political messages - feature in a 10-page list of rules published by the governing body. All food is expected to be confiscated at one of three security checkpoints outside all 10 grounds but the supporters' guide bizarrely singles out “fruit, such as apples, bananas, oranges, etc" and does not mention any other specific items.
Fans will be allowed to bring healthy snacks if they can prove it is required for medical reasons but they must notify the stadium authority in advance to seek permission.
Once inside they will be able to buy a bockwurst sausage for £3.90 or vegan currywurst for £4.50 as part of a menu containing little beyond local cuisine.
A 500ml cup of Bitburger will cost £5.90 - although only low alcohol beer of 1 percent is expected to be sold at England’s opening game because it has been deemed high risk by German police owing to threats from far-right Serbian ultras.
Soft drinks will set punters back an eye-watering £5 and a single bottle of water £3.80. A bar of chocolate costs £2.70.
But the sprawling fan parks set up in 10 cities will be more affordable with fans expected to pay £4.20 for a pint.
However the Foreign Office has sent a warning to the more than 40,000 England supporters heading to Germany over the potency of the hosts’ lager.
“Beer can be stronger than in the UK, so drink responsibly, know your limits and respect local laws,” it said. “You may not be let into the stadium if you drink too much.” Nor will you if there is a Granny Smith in your pocket.
