Anthony Gordon has become the laughing stock of the England camp after falling off his bike.

Newcastle winger Gordon was left with a huge graze on his chin, a big cut to his nose and hurt a wrist after flying over the handlebars. Gordon escaped without serious injury other than wounded pride but still ended up looking like a kid who came off his bike when they were still in school.

‌His England team-mate Ezri Konsa admitted they have all been ribbing Gordon who will show off his battle scars on Friday when he fronts up and does a TV press conference.‌ Konsa said: “He’s alright. Just a few grazes and scratches. You will see (Friday) because he’s doing a conference. It was crazy.

‌“It was funny. I was coming down on my bike, I saw him and thought: ‘what’s happened there?’ I saw the graze on his chin and his nose and I burst out laughing!

“It was a recovery session, some players were out in front and as I was coming down the hill, I saw Ant and he was lying there with his face bloodied, hands and chin and I just started laughing! I looked at his chin and his nose. I burst out laughing! At least he wore his helmet. That’s the main thing.

‌“I’ve never been on a bike like it. It’s weird. You can pick up some speed, you press the turbo and as you pedal it goes quick. It must have been a bad fall. I think that will be the last time we go on the bike.”

Konsa also says that he thinks Gordon will do a bike goal celebration if he scores against Slovakia on Sunday. He added: “Knowing him he will probably do a bike celebration if he comes on or starts and gets a goal, it would be nice to see to be honest.”
