McDonald's has launched its new summer menu across all stores today - alongside a new Happy Meal trial.
The fast food chain's summer menu features a brand new burger and the return of a few much-loved items. The brand new "Hat Trick" burger has three beef patties, two slices of cheese, grilled onions, mustard and ketchup sandwiched in a sesame seed bun. This will set you back £5.89, or £7.69 for a meal deal.
The Chicken Sharebox is making a comeback this summer and will feature six Chicken Selects, 12 Chicken McNuggets, two McNugget dips and two Selects dips. You can also get a Nine Chicken Selects Sharebox, which comes with three dips.
McDonald's is introducing three new dip options to its new menu with fans able to get "new and improved" Garlic Mayo, Sweet and Smoky BBQ, and Sweet Chilli. Costing £2.39, a true fan favourite - the Mozzarella Bites - is making a return to menus today. The cheesy snacks are encased in a crispy coating and come with a tomato dip
Those with a sweet tooth can enjoy the Skittles McFlurry, which sees the traditional McFlurry mixed with chewy Skittles fudge pieces and sugary pearls and topped with purple Skittles-flavoured sauce. Those wanting something a little more chocolaty can enjoy the Galaxy Caramel McFlurry at £2.19.
McDonald's has also expanded its pie options with the Galaxy Chocolate and Raspberry Pie. Costing £1.99, this is a crispy chocolate pastry filled with chocolate ganache and a raspberry compote. Iced lattes will also be returning and will be made a permanent menu item at £2.49.
Alongside this, McDonald's is launching a new Happy Meal trial today across a handful of stores across the North West and in selected stores in the Republic of Ireland. The trial will last 14 weeks and if successful, the new menu item could be rolled out to McDonald's stores nationwide.
The four new Happy Meal items include Fish Bites, Flavoured Milk and the McFreezy, plus the iconic Mayo Chicken is also being added.
Fish Bites are five bite-sized pollock pieces in a crisp panko breadcrumb coating, served with a choice of dip. The fish bites will also be available in a serving of nine as a side on the main menu for £5.79. The McFreezy is a frozen ice dessert made with fruit juice and puree and is available in either Orange or Mango and Pineapple flavours - this will also be on the main menu for £1.59. Finally, the Flavoured Milk will be available in Chocolate, Strawberry and Banana with natural flavourings and no added sugar.
