A brand-new blockbuster that will make perfect festive viewing is making its home premiere later this month. From the multi Oscar and BAFTA-winning animation studio Aardman comes the long-awaited sequel Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget.

Launching just in time for Christmas, the film marks the second instalment of Aardman’s first ever feature-length film, the 2000 comedy Chicken Run. The beloved original remains the highest-grossing stop-motion film of all time after more than two decades and its sequel has been more than four years in the making.

Dawn of the Nugget sees the return of escapist chicken Ginger, who has finally found her dream after her daring break-out from Tweedy’s farm. She now lives in a peaceful island sanctuary where the whole flock can live far from the dangers of the human world.

Dawn of the Nugget is directed by Oscar and BAFTA-nominated director Sam Fell, the director of ParaNorman and Flushed Away. Here, we break down everything you need to know about Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget.
