The nuclear test veterans are the survivors of of Britain's Cold War radiation experiments

The British servicemen and scientists took part in 45 nuclear blasts and around 600 'minor' radiation experiments in America, Australia and the South Pacific between 1952 and 1967.

The Mirror has been campaigning for the veterans to be awarded a medal for their bravery.
