After being first elected as the Tory MP for South West Surrey in 2005, Jeremy Hunt has served as Cabinet minister under David Cameron, Theresa May, Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak.
When the Tories got into power in 2010, he was appointed Culture Secretary and was responsible for delivering the London 2012 Olympics. He then spent six years as Health Secretary, before being appointed Foreign Secretary.
He stood in the Conservative Leadership Contest in July 2019, but lost to Boris Johnson who became Prime Minister.
After a spell on the backbenches, he made a surprise return as Chancellor of the Exchequer as Ms Truss attempted to calm the markets following her disastrous mini-Budget.
