7–9 October 2024 Non-coding RNA World 2024: Exploring Mechanisms, Designing Medicines

Basel, Switzerland

We are delighted to announce that the conference Non-coding RNA World 2024: Exploring Mechanisms, Designing Medicines will be held in Basel, Switzerland, on 07–09 October 2024.

Following our successful conference ncRNA2021, we now propose meeting you in the beautiful city of Basel, Switzerland.

The field of RNA continues on its meteoric ascent, with non-coding RNAs in the vanguard. The field continues to grow, with new transcripts discovered wherever one looks in molecular biology, physiology, disease, and across the tree of life. The sequencing of many thousands of species’ genomes will further drive evolutionary and informatic efforts to map, catalog, and model ncRNAs.

ncRNA2024 will bring together the international ncRNA community to share and explore the latest advances in our field. The conference will cover a broad range of topics, from basic biology to medical and technological applications. The sessions will take molecular biology through the topics of disease mechanisms, therapies, technologies, and bioinformatic approaches. Each session will be anchored by leading international speakers.

We are also committed to showcasing the work of early-stage researchers, and the majority of the oral presentations will be selected from submitted abstracts. Crucially, the program will provide plenty of opportunities to casually network and mingle with fellow researchers, academics, and professionals in the sphere.

We look forward to welcoming you to Basel in October 2024.

2–5 September 2024 XVII National Congress of Virology

Santiago de Compostela

It is with great pleasure that we announce the upcoming XVII National Congress of Virology (XVII CNV), which will take place in Santiago de Compostela between September 2 and 5, 2024. The Congress will take place at the Faculty of Law, located only a few minutes away from the historic city center, Obradoiro Square, and the Cathedral. This is the second time that Santiago will host this Congress, for which we are preparing with the same enthusiasm as with the first conference 26 years ago. The Organizing Committee, together with the Scientific Committee and the Board of Directors of the Spanish Society of Virology, is developing a program that we trust will be attractive to all of us who are dedicated to this discipline. We have scheduled three symposia (one of which is co-organized with the Portuguese Society of Virology) and different sessions that cover the different fields in which our discipline is represented, from basic to applied aspects of human, animal, and plant viruses, and also including current topics such as climate change and epidemiology, global health, and the dissemination of virology. We will also host several renowned foreign virologists. We intend for young researchers from society to be the protagonists of the conference, and we encourage you to present your communications and actively participate in this Congress. To achieve these objectives, we know that we can count on all of you. During the next few months, all the updated information will be displayed on the Congress website, at https://congresovirologiasantiago2024.com. We look forward to seeing you in Santiago, a welcoming city that will surely offer you the best opportunities to have a fruitful conference from a scientific point of view and a pleasant stay, enjoying the attractions of our town, which is undoubtedly known to all of you.
