The synthesis of one-dimensional nanomaterials is crucial for harnessing their potential. Researchers employ various techniques, each with unique advantages and limitations. Two primary approaches are bottom-up and top-down methods. Bottom-up methods build nanoscale structures from individual atoms or molecules, while top-down methods reduce larger materials to nanoscale dimensions. Bottom-up methods are more popular due to their precision and control in creating tailored 1D nanomaterials.
