Understanding the hydrosphere is paramount to the sustainable exploitation of its vast resources while providing an accurate window to the health of our planet. However, very little is still known by Man about what occurs below its surface. Tagging sharks present an effective, fast and unique opportunity for grasping an insight into these apex predators’ routines. Blue sharks are ideal primary study targets, mainly to understand the rapid decline noticed in recent years, but also due to their broad presence across all the oceans and their wide range of motion, which enables increased coverage in each tagging mission.
