Open data serve as a foundation for reproducing research findings, facilitating collaboration and enabling novel discoveries. However, open data practices are still not commonly applied. To contribute to the implementation of open data strategy in academia, a collection of strategies from regional universities and higher education institutions was compiled by research support service units at research-performing organizations. A strategic guide consisting of various measures has been developed to encourage the adoption of open data practices from an organizational standpoint.
