Cover Story (view full-size image): In our current understanding of fundamental interactions, encapsulated in the Standard Model, Lepton Flavour Universality emerges as a respected symmetry. It establishes that leptons of different flavours couple with the same strength to the gauge bosons in the theory. Precise measurements testing this symmetry are, therefore, sensitive probes for physics beyond the Standard Model.
