New information about that BMF belt fight between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal has emerged, right on the same week as these two will fight once more but inside a ring. To those who don't remember, the fight was called off because Diaz had a nasty gash on his eyebrow and the ref had to stop it. Jorge was crowned as the BMF, the first in UFC history and even Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson put that belt around his neck. But aside from that eyebrow cut, Nate Diaz just confirmed that he was carrying a serious meniscus injury tha would've beena no-show in any other occassion. But former president Donald Trump was a confirmed guest at that UFC event and Nate Diaz wasn't going to chicken out from a historical event.

Although the former president is an extremely divisive figure, the UFC is a great friend of his due to his relationship with Dana White. The company's chairman constantly praises Trump and has invited him to multiple events after that one. This first time the former president visited the sport as a VIP guest, it was UFC 244, we are getting closer to UFC 304 now. Nate Diaz talked about the decision he had to make during a Youtube show on Demetrius Johnson's channel. Although he hates doing press events, Nate does get more comfortable on podcasts and opens up way more when he is talking to his peers.

This is the first time Nate Diaz releases the news that he suffered a meniscus injury before fighting Jorge Masvidal. He said: "I was f**ked up when I fought Masvidal. I tore my meniscus two weeks before I fought him. I couldn't even walk. I didn't even know I tore my meniscus. I was training, and I was like dude I could hardly even walk and I was like hell no we're going here. It was Madison Square Garden headlining in it. Donald Trump came through. Think that was the first president ever been at the UFC. And I was like, yeah right, I'm going to that fight. And I went in there and fought that."
