Manchester United legends Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs have unveiled a suite of new bedrooms to celebrate 25 years since the Reds' historic treble-winning season.

The new '99 themed rooms have all been co-designed by former United players at Hotel Football, which sits right next to Old Trafford.

The 1998-1999 season is celebrated as one of the greatest achievements in the history of football after United won three major trophies: the Premier League, the FA Cup, and the UEFA Champions League.

Managed by Sir Alex Ferguson, the victories made Manchester United the first English club to achieve the feat in the modern era. A new documentary about the season has also just gone live on Amazon Prime.

Now, inspired by that season, Hotel Football - co-founded by former United player Gary Neville and the Class of 92 - has redesigned a set of seven rooms especially for the anniversary.

Each of the ‘99’ rooms has "unrivalled views" of Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium, as well as custom interiors including unique artwork, framed authentic shirts and memorabilia from the season itself.

There's also a special clock with the message "Fergie time" next to it as well as his legendary quote after beating Bayern Munich in the Champions League final of: "Football, bloody hell".

Gary and Ryan took to Instagram at the weekend to showcase some of the features of the rooms.

In the video walkhrough, Gary said: "So we're in our '99 rooms, a collection that we've just launched and obviously they're everything about the treble, that incredible achievement 25 years ago.

"We were the very first club to achieve it, even though Manchester City won it last season, that was an amazing achievement... but it was the first ever treble and it was a dramatic one as well."

Guiding viewers around the room, he pointed out some of its unique details that United fans will love.

He said: "Looking on the walls you see the programme, I've got a couple of them at home still but not signed like that. Then you've got Clive Tyldesley's commentary chat, then you've got some quotes from Paul Scholes, Ole Gunnar Sjolskaer, Roy Keane, David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, then that famous statement made at the end of the game: 'football, bloody hell'.

He added: "I'm sure you'll enjoy being in these rooms, we love having you at Hotel Football."

Ryan also gave his appraisal of the season and of the new rooms. He said: "Yeah it was a big season for us '99, obviously we'd been pipped by Arsenal the year before, but we brought in Jaap Stam, Dwight Yorke, Jesper Blonqvist to bolster the squad. Towards the end of the season everyone, apart from ourselves, was talking about the treble as it had never been done before.

"Then after the turn of the year really we didn't look back I don't think we lost a game after that.

"Looking on the wall you see some of the key players, Scholesy, Ole, scoring that memorable goal in the cup final... it was just obviously the most memorable season of my career. You don't start off the season thinking you're going to win the treble, you just wanted to win the league back. It was an amazing achievement by an amazing group of players and coaches."

Chris Hull, General Manager at Hotel Football, said: “These rooms are a tribute to the most talked about season in United’s history, and it only seemed right to launch them now on the season’s 25th anniversary. We are grateful to the players who have contributed their own Treble souvenirs and shirts for the rooms to bring United fans closer than ever to that remarkable season.”
