With a jam-packed line-up of dance, house and pop acts, day one at Parklife 2024 was certainly one to remember.

The first day of Manchester's biggest festival brought with it plenty of bucket hats, cowboy boots and good vibes as thousands descended on Heaton Park for the annual celebration.

The early afternoon drizzle soon gave way to blue skies as the likes of Peggy Gou, Four Tet, Nia Archives, Mahalia and Sugababes took to the stage. And as the sun set over the festival's huge wheel, headliners Becky Hill and Disclosure closed out the day - a sea of phone lights raised high as they kept crowds entertained with some of their biggest hits.

Despite the hit-and-miss weather at the start of the day, festival-goers were not deterred, donning their best festival attire. Cowboy boots and bucket hats are a given by this point, but there were some fancy dress looks - Austin Powers and Mr Motivator, we're looking at you - plus glitter, face jewels and plenty of brightly coloured two-pieces.

As well as the live stages, where fans got to see the likes of Kenya Grace, Interplanetary Criminal b2b with Sammy Virgi, Dennis Cruz, Pawsa, Wilkinson and Sub Focus, to name just a few, there will be a number of food and drinks stalls dotted across the site, including the festival's first ever alcohol free bar from Kampus-based venue Love From.

You can also find all the food and drink prices across general admission and VIP here.

Some of the famous faces attending yesterday's event included a host of Love Island stars, including Olivia Hawkins, Cally Jane Beach, Kady McDermott, Belle Hassan and Arabella Chi. Up to 80,000 people are expected to attend Heaton Park again today, as music fans prepare for some epic sets from Kaytranada, Barry Can't Swim, Children of Zeus, Ella Henderson, Rudimental, Anne-Marie, and Doja Cat.

If you're heading down, it's worth keeping an eye on the weather top, as it will be a bit more mixed than Saturday. Sunday's weather is not set to be as sunny as the day before., and heavy rain is expected as the gates reopen for a 1pm start.

The rain should subside soon though, but the weather will remain overcast and cloudy with a chance of some rain throughout the day. Temperatures will start at 11°, peaking at 12° between 3pm and 7pm and dropping to 10° by the end of the night, hitting 9° at midnight.
