A pop-up ice cream parlour in the city centre this weekend will feature DJ sets, lawn games and as much frozen delights as you can handle.

The Häagen-Dazs Flavour Club will be taking up residency in Spinningfields Square on Saturday (June 29) with a disco ice cream van and chill out areas to enjoy if the weather stays nice.

The pop-up space, which will run from 1pm to 7pm, has been described as ideal for those looking for an alternative to the summer of sports. The event will also feature a happy hour from 4-5pm.

The happy hour will see Häagen-Dazs hand out free ice cream Bites, in Salted Caramel and Chocolate flavours. The one-hour special will also feature a live performance from Britain’s Got Talent’s musical comedy finalist Micky P Kerr.

There will also be an evening’s night of good tunes from DJ Fastlove - who will be delivering an energetic set from the rooftop of the disco ice cream van.

Speaking about the event, a spokesperson for Häagen-Dazs Flavour Club said: “Popping up in Manchester’s Spinningfields Square on Saturday 29th June, Häagen-Dazs offers a sanctuary of indulgence for those who aren’t fussed by the footy.
