Manchester City were handed Pep Guardiola's dream run to the Champions League final after we simulated the quarter-final and semi-final draws.

Incredibly, the Blues managed to win all of their matches in the Champions League group stage this season as they showed no signs of a hangover following that historic night in Istanbul. City continued their brilliant European form in the round of 16 as FC Copenhagen were brushed aside comfortably.

Manuel Akanji, Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland all scored to wrap up a 3-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium last week to progress 6-2 on aggregate. Following this week's second legs the Blues know exactly who they could end up facing in the quarter-finals and beyond.

Ahead of today's draw which starts at 11am (UK time), MEN Sport has simulated the route City would need to pass through to get to the final. In the quarter-finals of our simulation, the Blues were drawn to face Guardiola's former club Barcelona with the first at the Etihad Stadium.

Should they progress past the Catalonians, City would potentially take on another one of his former clubs in Bayern Munich or their Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund in the semi-finals. This time, the all-important second leg would take place in Manchester with the winners advancing to the final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, June 1.
