Pep Guardiola only has another day or so on the training pitches before Manchester City face Luton Town. The Premier League champions will welcome the Hatters to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon as either side hopes to climb the table.

Manchester City head into the clash off the back of an enthralling 3-3 draw with Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu in the Champions League quarterfinals. While Guardiola's side extended their incredible unbeaten streak in the Spanish capital, Phil Foden picked up a knock.

The 23-year-old midfielder was spotted limping after the game and the Manchester City boss will be expected to provide an update on Friday in his pre-match press conference. Supporters will be hoping that Foden is okay as the title race builds a head of steam, with Liverpool and Arsenal looking to claim first place.

The Gunners and the Reds will both play next in the English top flight on Sunday – unlike the reigning champions, who tie up their laces on Saturday. Jurgen Klopp's side do, however, head into the weekend with a day's less rest following their 3-0 defeat to Atalanta at Anfield in the Europa League quarterfinal first-leg.

So, with that being said, the Manchester Evening News has taken a look at what the future holds for Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal as the Premier League title race builds a head of steam.
