Bruno Fernandes has vowed that he'll never say he's too tired to play for Manchester United, amid ongoing concerns about possible fatigue.

United have a daunting fixture schedule ahead of them this month, with their rescheduled Premier League game against Liverpool meaning three matches in the space of five days.

The game was postponed due to the mass anti-Glazer protest outside Old Trafford on Sunday, with United in action for the first time since that demonstration tonight against Roma — for the second leg of their Europa League semi-final.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are 6-2 in front on aggregate but the United boss may still be reluctant to rest Fernandes, who has played 60 games for club and country since the start of the season.

Speaking to United's in-house media before the second leg against Roma, Fernandes dismissed the notion that he'll ever feel fatigued.

He said: "For me, the most important [thing] is playing. When the coach wants me, it's important to know I'm ready to play every game, every minute.

“I will never say I'm [too] tired to play because this is my dream. I will never be tired to play. When I was a kid, I played maybe seven or eight hours a day. So, to play 90 minutes every three days or two days is not enough for me."

Fernandes is also keen to reach a first major final in United colours, with Solskjaer's men in pole position to reach the Europa League showpiece in Gdansk.

"It's really important,” the 26-year-old added. “A signal of the improvement of the team and it's a sign we are growing up as a team.

“So keep our heads focused on what we have to do and what we have to achieve at this end of the season. When we come for the next one, we have time to think what we can do and what we can improve, still improve.

“We have many games to go and the team has to end the season well. We have big games to come and I think the team is focused to do the best we can to end the season in the best way.”
