You think you know the Jungle Book? Think again!
Next month, Aviva Studios will be the venue for an exciting new adaptation of the classic tale of mancub Mowgli, from visionary director Robert Wilson and with an original soundtrack by musical duo CocoRosie.
The show, which is suitable for school-aged children and adults alike, will run from March 27-31, and it puts a totally new spin on an old favourite.
Robert Wilson has been one of the biggest names in experimental theatre for many decades, and his version, entitled Jungle Book, brings Mowgli, Baloo, Bagheera and pals to life through stunning set designs, dazzling costumes and a dreamy new soundtrack.
Co-produced by Factory International, Jungle Book has already wowed audiences of all ages in Paris, Florence and Antwerp, and the Manchester shows will be the very first in the English language.
