Dermot O'Leary said Alison Hammond's apology on This Morning was the 'greatest he'd heard' after she broke a golden rule. The pair were back fronting the ITV daytime show on Tuesday (April 2) after kicking off a new week on Easter Monday.
Due to the Easter holiday and subsequent half-term break, Dermot, 50, and Alison, 49, are stepping in for new permanent hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley as they take time off despite them only starting on the show early last month.
But on the second show of the week, Alison and Dermot were left awkwardly covering up a mistake when reporter Andrew Freund got a little carried away talking about Beyoncé fans’ outrage after discovering five of her tracks are missing on her latest album on vinyl.

Andrew began as he appeared via video link from Los Angeles: "Alright guys, so the BeyHive is buzzing, and they’re buzzing big time, because they got their vinyls, and not all the tracks were on their vinyls, so they’re a little bit p****d off about that."
As the camera cut back to the studio, Alison was seen pulling what could only be described as an 'oops' face to the camera while Dermot simply face-palmed as he realised what had happened. Not realising his mistake, Andrew went on: "I did some deep dive digging and figured out why this actually happened guys...
"Basically what happens is when you make these vinyl albums, they have to book out the printing presses months and months in advance, so Beyoncé’s album wasn’t even finished yet, so she couldn’t get all the tracks to the printing album place."
Alison was then quick to jump in with: "We can’t miss an apology for Andrew’s very colourful language, so we do apologise for that. It’s morning television, passions are high!"
She continued: "And obviously, Beyoncé is missing vinyl tracks, what is going on? I’m not happy about it!" before Dermot remarked: "That’s that greatest apology I’ve heard!"
