Many people across the country will be getting a new MP at this general election as some stand down while others could lose their seat. But even if your parliamentary representative is re-elected on July 4, they might not represent you anymore after polling day.
That's because the UK's political map has been redrawn ahead of the vote with new constituencies created, boundaries changed and some seats renamed. Only eight constituencies in Greater Manchester, where 27 seats are up for grabs in total, will remain unaltered.
It comes after the Boundary Commission reviewed the current constituencies to make sure they meet strict criteria on the size of an area each MP can represent. The process has taken several years and, after a series of revisions, was finally approved last November.

The final proposals, which come into force at this general election, will see some constituencies change in size while others will be renamed. This includes seats in Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Wigan which the Conservatives gained from Labour at the last election.
Bolton
Bolton will still have three constituencies, but all of the boundaries will change. Bolton South East will take in some of Salford - Little Hulton and Walkden - while losing some of Little Lever and Darcy Lever and Tonge with the Haulgh to Bolton North East next door.
The seat, which will be renamed Bolton South and Walkden, will also lose some of Hulton and Rumworth to neighbouring Bolton West. Bolton North East's name remains unchanged, but it will grow in size, taking in the areas previously part of Bolton South East.
While Bolton West will gain two parts of the former Bolton South East constituency, it will lose two council wards in Atherton.
Bury

The Bury North constituency will remain largely unchanged with just one addition - Radcliffe North and Ainsworth. Meanwhile, Bury South will take in some parts of Salford with the Kersal and Broughton Park ward moving over from the Blackley and Broughton seat.
Manchester
Broughton will be replaced by Middleton South in the Blackley constituency. The new Blackley and Middleton South seat will take in parts of East, North and South Middleton while some of Charlestown and Moston will be moved over from Manchester Central seat.
Manchester Central will take Cheetham from Blackley and Broughton while also gaining Failsworth East and West from Ashton under Lyne. Ardwick, Hulme and Moss Side will move into Manchester Rusholme which will also feature Whalley Range and Fallowfield.
Manchester Withington will take in Chorlton and Chorlton Park while losing Burnage to the new Gorton and Denton seat. As the name suggests, this new constituency will take in all three Denton wards as well as Gorton and Abbey Hey, Levenshulme and Longsight.
Wythenshawe and Sale East remains unchanged.
Oldham
There are no changes to boundaries in either of the two constituencies covering Oldham. However, while the Oldham East and Saddleworth seat keeps its name intact, the Oldham West and Royton seat will be renamed to include Chadderton in its title.
Rochdale
The Rochdale constituency will shrink in size slightly, losing Spotland and Falinge to the newly named Heywood and Middleton North. The former Heywood and Middleton constituency will lose parts of East, North and South Middleton to Blackley and Middleton South.
Salford

Salford will now be represented by four MPs. Salford and Eccles lose Eccles and take Broughton with the seat renamed Salford.
Worsley and Eccles South will lose South from its title and take in the whole of the Eccles ward as well as Swinton and Wardley. Most of the Tyldesley and Mosley Common ward and some of the Astley ward will also be part of the Worsley and Eccles constituency.
Little Hulton, Walkden North and Walkden South will move from Worsley and Eccles South to the newly named Bolton South and Walkden constituency. Kersal and Broughton Park, which was part of the Blackley and Broughton constituency, will join Bury South.
Stockport
The Stockport constituency will take in Reddish North and South, but will give up the Manor and Offerton wards to Hazel Grove. Other than these two additions, Hazel Grove remains unchanged while the neighbouring Cheadle constituency is completely unaltered.
Tameside
The Denton and Reddish constituency will be split into three constituencies. Ashton under Lyne will take in most of Audenshaw, Dukinfield, some of Denton North East and Dukinfield Stalybridge and the rest of Droylsden East from the former constituency.
The rest of Denton will move to the new Gorton and Denton seat, while Reddish North and South will become part of the Stockport constituency. Stalybridge and Hyde - which includes Hyde, Longdendale, Mossley and some of Dukinfield - remains unchanged.
Trafford
Altrincham and Sale West and Stretford and Urmston will remain unchanged, as will Wythenshawe and Sale East.
Wigan
The Wigan constituency is also unaltered. But the boundaries of the other two constituencies in the borough have been redrawn.
Makerfield will havfe a small change to its boundaries, taking in the rest of Hindley Green and some of Leigh West. The Leigh constituency will be renamed to include Atherton in its title, taking in two wards from the former Bolton West constituency.
Worsley and Eccles will take Astley and some of Tyldesley and Mosley Common
