A man has been charged with rape after police were called to a break-in at a woman's apartment in Hulme.

Officers were called to Wilmott Street at around 5am on Tuesday, November 29. A man had reportedly broken into a woman's apartment.

Courtney Adams, of Chichester Road, Hulme, has now been charged in connection with the incident. The 32-year-old has been charged with three counts of rape, police said.

He has also been charged with two counts of burglary, robbery and criminal damage. He has been remanded into custody to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court today (December 6).
