Drivers are facing long delays on the M6 and M61 as highways officers respond to an incident in Lancashire. Images from the M6 appear to show a motorhome which has overturned on the southbound carriageway near junction 30 for the M61.

Workers from National Highways are in attendance. Data from Google shows long delays on both sides of the M6 approaching the scene, near Preston. Queues appear to be tailing back as far as the M55 on the southbound side.

Heading north from Greater Manchester, there are queues on the M61 tailing back to Chorley. One eyewitness, who is stuck in queues on the M6, told the Manchester Evening News a motorhome was 'on its side' on the M6 southbound, causing 'big queues'.
