A man was left injured after a car was driven 'at high speeds' towards him in Manchester city centre. Greater Manchester Police says that the victim had been walking along King Street West before reaching the junction with St Mary's Parsonage.

At that moment, police say a black Hyundai was driven towards him at speed. The man received minor injuries after being hit by the car's bumper and wing mirrors.

GMP has issued an appeal for witnesses to come forward today (June 3), following the incident at 4.30pm on Tuesday, May 23. No arrests have been made so far.

Police are investigating the incident as an assault and enquiries are ongoing. Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen what happened.
